Commons votes
How does your MP vote?
Every recorded vote in the House of Commons over the last four months, with how the MP for your postcode voted in each, how often they were there, and whether they were on the winning side.
- Every division
- Aye, No or absent
- Attendance
How this works
When the Commons cannot agree by voice, MPs file through the Aye and No lobbies and every name is recorded: a division. Parliament publishes each one within minutes through its Commons Votes service. The page finds your seat and its MP through the Members API, reads the division list for the last four months and the MP’s own record, and lines them up. Not voting is not the same as not working: ministers, the Speaker and Deputy Speakers, MPs paired with an absent opponent, and anyone on parental leave or on committee business elsewhere all show as absent from the lobbies. Lists are cached for an hour.
