Sold prices
What sold near you?
HM Land Registry records the price of every home sold in England and Wales. This page finds the sales within 250 m, 500 m or 1 km of your postcode over the last five years, newest first, with the median by year and by type of home, so you can see what the houses on your own streets actually went for.
- Every sale, by address
- Medians by year
- Flats, terraces, semis, detached
How this works
The page asks postcodes.io for every postcode within the chosen distance (up to a hundred, so a dense town centre fills the circle before a kilometre), then asks HM Land Registry’s linked-data service for every Price Paid record at those postcodes since the same month five years ago. Standard sales at full market value are counted in the medians; repossessions, buy-to-lets and other transfers the register files separately are listed but kept out of the figures. Distances are from your postcode to the sold home’s postcode. The register is updated monthly and a sale can take a few weeks to appear after completion, so the newest weeks are always thin. Answers are cached for a day. Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Crown Dependencies keep their own registers, linked from the page for postcodes there.
