How the score works
Each constituency is ranked against every other on each indicator, and its percentile becomes a 0–100 sub-score (indicators where lower is better, like the claimant count, are inverted so that 100 is always “best”). The Overall score is the average of the sub-scores available for that seat. Use the layer buttons to see any single indicator on its own.
The four nations publish their statistics separately, so coverage isn’t identical everywhere. The claimant-count layer covers all 650 seats; the pay layer comes from the ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings, which doesn’t include Northern Ireland, so its seats appear hatched on the pay layer and are marked partial on the Overall layer. For a like-for-like UK-wide comparison, use the single-indicator layers. This is a starting set - more domains (housing affordability, health, environment, crime) will be added as the cross-nation data is wired in.
