How this works

Charge points are read live from OpenStreetMap (via the Overpass API): public charging locations within 5 km and 25 km of your postcode, with “rapid” flagged where the mapped power is 50 kW or more. Power and connector details depend on what contributors have recorded, so some sites show a count without full specs.

The area profile compares your local authority with every other in Great Britain on low-emission vehicle uptake, colouring it by where it sits - “best is best”. Figures are authority-wide, from DfT’s vehicle-licensing statistics, which cover Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales); Northern Ireland licenses vehicles separately, so those postcodes get the live charge points and the national picture but no area profile.
